Mark, Green named Bulldogs of the Week

PERKINSTON — Breanna Green and Jayden Mark have been named Bulldogs of the Week for April 24-30.

Green, a sophomore second baseman from Saraland, Ala., drove in 10 runs while batting .750 during a 3-1 week for Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was 3-for-3 with a triple and five RBI in an 11-6 win over Meridian in Game 1, then had three more hits, including a double, and three more RBI in a 16-2 win in Game 2. She went 3-for-5 with a double in a split with Northeast Mississippi. Green also walked three times and triple-slashed .750/.800/1.083.

Mark, a freshman catcher/first baseman, hit .412 with 10 RBI in four games for Gulf Coast. He went 3-for-6 with four RBI top open the week against Meridian, then closed the week with a three-RBI game against Northeast Mississippi. Mark had hits in all four games. 

Also nominated:

Jett Harrell, a freshman from Clarksdale, went 2-0 with a 2.15 ERA last week. She threw a three-hitter to beat Northeast Mississippi 9-1, allowing a single unearned run.
