PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast fell 81-50 Monday to Jones in men's basketball action at the Weathers-Wentzell Center.
The Bobcats (2-4, 2-3 MACCC South) flipped the script from the first meeting, dominating the Bulldogs (4-5, 2-5) on the board. Gulf Coast managed only 18 points in the first half.
Melvion Flanagan (Fr., Alexandria La./Peabody) led Gulf Coast with 21 points. He was the only Bulldog in double figures.
Jones showed no signs of rust after not having played in two weeks. Gulf Coast had won the first meeting 76-71 in Ellisville back on Jan. 25.
Gulf Coast returns to action Thursday with a road trip to Meridian. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
