PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Jett Harrell grabbed another piece of hardware Monday. She was named to the 18-person All-NJCAA Region 23 team after an outstanding freshman season.
Harrell, who is from Clarksdale and played at Lee Academy, has a sensational season as a two-way player.
She batted .396 with eight home runs and 45 RBI, both second-most on the team. Harrell led the MACCC with 168 innings pitched, going 20-6 with three saves and a 2.79 ERA.
Harrell had previously been named to the All-MACCC First Team. She helped lead the Bulldogs to a 39-20 record and a fifth-place finish at the region tournament.
