Walker, Harrell named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — DJ Walker and Jett Harrell have been named Bulldogs of the Week for April 10-16.
Walker, a sophomore first baseman/designated hitter from Brandon, went 4-for-6 in a doubleheader at Pearl River. He had a double in the Bulldogs' only action of the week.
Harrell, a freshman pitcher/outfielder from Clarksdale, batted .455 with two home runs, a double and seven RBI in a 3-1 week for Gulf Coast. She had her double in an 8-0 win over Coahoma, then slugged two homers with six RBI in a 14-2 win in Game 2. She also didn't allow a run in 12 innings while picking up wins against No. 11 Pearl River and at Coahoma. She went 2-0, giving up just six hits.

Kendall Burn, a freshman from Wiggins, won two doubles and two singles matches for Gulf Coast on the way to the Bulldogs' runner-up finish at the NJCAA Region 23 Women's Tennis Tournament.
