Dawson, Fields named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — Darius Dawson and Simaru Fields have been named Bulldogs of the Week for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
Dawson, a sophomore forward from Sumter, S.C., led Mississippi Gulf Coast with 19.0 points and 8.5 rebounds during a 1-1 week. He had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds at Hinds in an 87-84 loss, and he had 15 points and seven assists in an 87-82 win over East Central.
Fields, a freshman guard from Gulfport, had a double-double in Mississippi Gulf Coast's only game of the week. She had 22 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in a 61-55 loss to Pensacola State.
