MGCCC women release schedule

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast has announced its 2018 women's soccer schedule, and coach Jackie Rhodes' Lady Bulldogs play their first home game Aug. 19 when LSU-Alexandria visits the MGCCC Soccer Complex at 2 p.m. for a scrimmage.

 

Season tickets for eight scheduled home dates are available now for $30 at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets. Individual tickets cost $5 per date.

 

Gulf Coast's first scrimmage will take place Aug. 1 when the Bulldogs travel to Hattiesburg to take on William Carey.

 

Gulf Coast opens division play Aug. 31 when Pearl River visits.

 

The MACJC postseason starts Oct. 18 with quarterfinals featuring the Nos. 2 and 3 teams from each division. The No. 1 seeds enter the playoffs on Oct. 20 in the semifinals, which will be hosted by the South women's regular season champion. The finals are the following day.

 

LSU Eunice has added women's soccer this season, so there will be a separate Region 23 championship Oct. 27 hosted by the MACJC champions.
