MGCCC women blank Northeast

PERKINSTON — The Mississippi Gulf Coast women's tennis team was slinging bagels Thursday against Northeast.

The Lady Bulldogs lost only five games in 15 sets in sweeping to a 9-0 victory at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Jasmine Sartin (So, Biloxi/Biloxi) and Kaci Calhoun (Fr, Florence/Florence) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-0, while the Lady Bulldogs blanked the Lady Tigers at the first three singles positions.

Paulina Estrada (So, San Luis, Mexico/Colegio Del Bosque) won her No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-0, and Bianca Buie (Fr, Baia Mare, Romania/Gheorghe Sincai National High School) and Katie Burrall (So, Hernando/Hernando) did the same at Nos. 2 and 3.

Gulf Coast returns to action Friday when East Central visits Perkinston. Matches start at 1 p.m.
