Lady Bulldogs stay perfect

Mississippi Gulf Coast won its fourth straight match to start the season and second in as many days Friday in Hanceville, Ala., beating Wallace State 7-2.

The Lady Bulldogs swept the doubles matches, with Jenna Lyons and Megan Bankston powering through their No. 2 double showdown 8-2.

Lyons and Bankston also won in singles, joining Bianca Buie (So, Baia Mare, Romania/Gheorghe Sincai National High School) and Margarita Lopareva (Fr, Moscow, Russia/School No. 1101) as winners of both their matches.

Gulf Coast had swept Coastal Alabama in Perkinston on Thursday.
