PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Jillianne Craft has signed to continue her collegiate playing career with NCAA Division II Mississippi College.

Craft, a sophomore from Gulfport and St. Patrick Catholic High School, compiled a 15-5 record in singles this season and went 15-2 in doubles. She won her first-round matches in singles and doubles at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship, helping propel the Lady Bulldogs to a 12th-place finish.

As a freshman, she went 15-4 in singles matches and helped her team win the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament. Craft won her opening-round match in singles at nationals last year, and Gulf Coast went on to finish 15th.

Mississippi College advanced to the NCAA regionals this year after losing to West Florida in the Gulf South Conference final.

Craft will study pre-med in Clinton. She won NJCAA All-Academic First Team and Distinguished Academic All-MACJC honors as a freshman, finishing with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
