Louvier joins MGCCC staff

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast head coach Jack Wright has added another passionate football coach to his staff. He's hired Nick Louvier to take over the running backs room.

"I met Coach Wright at my last job, and I know he's a great coach," Louvier said. "Everything I've heard about him sounded great, and I just wanted to learn from him. My peers at my last job told me it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and that I needed to take it. I'm happy to be here."

Nick Louvier begins his college coaching career in 2022 at Gulf Coast.  The graduate of Mississippi State comes to Perkinston after one season as an assistant at Jackson Academy.

"Nick brings a lot of energy to the staff," Wright said. "He has a great eye for talent, and he'll do a great job of developing our running backs at Gulf Coast and getting them to the next level."

Louvier was a 1,600-yard rusher as a senior at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Madison. He was part of the Copiah-Lincoln football team before transferring to Mississippi State.

He has a degree in business marketing.
