Bulldogs head north to play No. 2 Jones

UPDATE: This release has been updated to reflect the game being played in Hattiesburg.

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast is set to travel to play No. 2 Jones in a big MACCC South showdown Friday.

The game will be played at the Sacred Heart Athletic Complex because of wet field conditions in Ellisville.

There will be no stream. 

Jones leads the division, with Gulf Coast sitting in third heading into both squads' final game of the first-half South round-robin.

Last Time Out

  • Gulf Coast beat Hinds 3-2 Friday in double overtime, with Kate Bertolino (Fr., Ocean Springs/Vancleave) picking up a pair of assists. Leah Bennett (So., Cape Town, South Africa/Mondeor) had the golden goal in the 105th minute.
  • Jones beat Southwest Illinois 4-1 on Sunday.

Previous Meeting

Gulf Coast lost 1-0 to Jones on May 5. Skyler Steede had five saves.
