5 Bulldogs earn All-MACCC honors

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast midfielder Hyungjoon Lee was the leading vote-getter for the All-MACCC Men's Soccer Team, and he was joined on the first team by Zach McWillie.

Michael Bell and Ashton Taylor earned second-team recognition, with Grayson Nester named to the honorable mention list. 

Lee, a sophomore from Suwon, South Korea, finished tied for second in the conference with 14 goals and added four assists. He also played at times this season as a forward and defender. Lee earned NJCAA All-American honors as a freshman.

McWillie, a freshman defender from Jackson, played center back for a Bulldogs team that finished third in goals-against at 1.36. He also had one assist.

Taylor, a sophomore from Olive Branch, had four goals and three assists. A third-year player, he finished his Gulf Coast career with 12 goals and eight assists.

Bell, a sophomore from Jackson, had four goals and two assists. He finished his Bulldog career with eight goals and two assists.

Nester, a freshman from Flowood, had a .737 save percentage and a 1.73 goals-against average, the latter ranking fourth in the league.
