Lopareva, Bankston win for Gulf Coast

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast won three of the four matches it played Saturday, but lost 6-3 to Itawamba at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Margarita Lopareva (So., Moscow Russia/School No. 1101) teamed with Megan Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) to win their doubles match 8-2 over Maggie Creekmore and Julianna Alvez.

Lopareva won 6-0, 6-4 in No. 1 singles over Alvez, and Bankston won in straight sets over Creekmore at No. 2, 6-0, 6-2.
