Lopareva, Bankston win twice at ICC

Margarita Lopareva and Megan Bankston again won twice for Mississippi Gulf Coast, but the Lady Bulldogs lost 6-3 at Itawamba on Tuesday.

Lopareva (So., Moscow Russia/School No. 1101) and Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) defeated Julianna Alvez and Maggie Creekmore 8-4 in No. 1 singles. Lopareva won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-2 over Alvez.

Bankston won 7-6, 6-0 over Creekmore.

Gulf Coast is back on the courts Thursday at Hinds. First serves are set for 1 p.m.
