Lopareva claims another W

PERKINSTON — Margarita Lopareva won again at No. 1 singles for Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday, but the Lady Bulldogs lost 8-1 to Jones at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Lopareva, a sophomore from Moscow, Russia, rallied to beat Mireia Jordan 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.

Gulf Coast is right back in action Wednesday with a trip to Southwest. First serves are set for 1 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs last two regular-season matches are Thursday when Meridian visits at 1 p.m., and Saturday when Copiah-Lincoln plays at 10 a.m.
