Lopareva wins two more matches

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Margarita Lopareva won two more matches, but the Lady Bulldogs fell 7-2 to East Central at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

The sophomore from Moscow, Russia, beat Gabriela Gomez 7-5, 6-1 in No. 1 singles. She also teamed with Megan Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) to win 8-6 over Ali Grace Walker and Josie Hurst at No. 1 doubles.

Gulf Coast returns to action Monday when Iowa Central visits Perkinston for a match that was pushed back because of rainy weather. First serves are set for noon.
