No. 18 Bulldogs blow away ICC

No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast is off to a perfect start to the 2020 women's tennis season, thanks to a second road win as many days Saturday. The Bulldogs swept Itawamba 9-0 in Fulton.

Krissy Georgieva (Fr., Epsom and Ewell High School/Sutton, England) and Noni Charlton (Fr., Ipswich School/Ipswich, England) dominated at No. 1 doubles and won their singles matches in straight sets.

Kaylen Bond (Fr., Stone/Perkinston) blew past her opponent in No. 4 singles, dropping only a pair of games, while Anna Stringer (Fr., Stone/Wiggins) dropped the second set at No. 3 but prevailed in the third.

Tia Topps (Fr., Grenada/Grenada) and Chasity Snyder (Fr., Florence/Florence) each won both their points.

Gulf Coast has its first three home matches on consecutive days starting Tuesday. First serve against Hinds is at 1 p.m.
