No. 18 Bulldogs blast Holmes

PERKINSTON — No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast made quick work of Holmes on Friday, winning 9-0 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Gulf Coast improved to 9-1 overall, 7-1 in MACJC play. Holmes brought only two players to the match, so the Bulldogs clinched before the first serve.

Krissy Georgieva (Fr., Epsom and Ewell High School/Sutton, England) and Noni Charlton (Fr., Ipswich School/Ipswich, England) won their No. 1 doubles match, plus their Nos. 1 and 2 singles matches, dropping only a single game.

Gulf Coast plays its third match in as many days Saturday when Itawamba visits Perkinston. First serves will be at 1 p.m.
