Bulldogs entertain Lions on Saturday

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will try to bounce back from a disappointing midweek doubleheader at home on Saturday.

The Bulldogs entertain East Mississippi at Ken "Curly" Farris Field. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.

• MGCCC got swept by No. 9 Jones on Wednesday, losing 17-4 and 12-0.
• East Mississippi swept Coahoma on Wednesday, winning 15-0 and 16-5.

On April 9, 2022, the Bulldogs split with the Lions in Scooba, winning 15-9 before losing 3-2 in 11 innings.

• Charlie Keller (Fr., Mobile, Ala./Mobile Christian) leads the NJCAA in home runs (15) and is tied for fourth with 44 RBI. He leads the MACCC in home runs and RBI and is third in slugging (.804).
• Sean Smith (So., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) is tied for second in the NJCAA with 12 home runs and is 10^th in slugging (.883). He leads the MACCC in slugging (.883), is second in home runs and hitting (.447) and eighth in RBI (37).
