MGCCC moves up to No. 15 in national soccer rankings

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's men's team has moved up to No. 15 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Associaiton of America poll.

The Bulldogs entered the poll last week at No. 17 and racked up wins over Pearl River and Jones County to extend their win streak to 10 games and improve to 11-1.

According to the NSCAA, this marks the first time the school has appeared in the rankings in records dating back to 1997.

A win tonight at Copiah-Lincoln would clinch the MACJC South Division title and earn MGCCC the right to host the state soccer championship.

The Bulldogs are the only MACJC team in the poll. They are in the "Others Receiving Votes" category of the NJCAA rankings.
