MGCCC men rained out
PERKINSTON — The Mississippi Gulf Coast men's soccer team was up 3-0 at halftime in a non-division matchup Friday against Northwest, but Mother Nature ultimately claimed the victory.
A line of thunderstorms inundated the field and lightning made it too dangerous to wait out.
It cost Caleb Counselman (So, Pass Christian/Pass Christian) two goals and an assist. Jordan Hall (So, Manchester, England/Royton and Crompton) had the other goal, and Windham Whatley (So, Florence/Florence) and Gage Switzer (So, Gulfport/Gulfport) lots assists.
The Bulldogs (6-1) return to action Tuesday with a trip to Hinds in a rematch of the MACJC championship game of last season.
