No. 19 MGCCC beat Co-Lin 6-3

PERKINSTON — It should be an exciting MACJC Tournament this year, with No. 19 Mississippi Gulf Coast taking another tight match over Copiah-Lincoln on Monday. The Bulldogs won 6-3 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Reid Crow (So., Wesson/Wesson) and Patrick Roth (So., Resurrection/Pascagoula) teamed up to win No. 2 doubles, and Clint Verrett (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) and Raymond Lam put the Bulldogs up 2-1 heading into singles by winning at No. 3.

Roth, Verrett, Lam and Wesley Fontaine (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) won their singles matches for the final margin. They were dominant, dropping only six games between them.

Gulf Coast continues a busy week Thursday with a home match against Southwest at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs also play at home Friday and Saturday.
