No. 14 Gulf Coast beats No. 18 Hinds

No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast won its 14th straight match Thursday to stay undefeated, edging No. 18 Hinds 5-4 at Raymond.

Austin Vos (So., Perth Australia/Applecross) and Cole Wagoner (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) teamed to win their No. 1 doubles match 8-3 over Carlos Trujillo and Mateo Garcia. Evan Chubb (So., Biloxi/St. Patrick) and Patrick Roth (Fr., Pascagoula/Resurrection) continued to dominate at No. 2 doubles, winning 8-2 over Bryce Livingston and Chris Adams.

Chubb and Roth won their singles matches, as well, and Wesley Fontaine (Fr., Biloxi/Biloxi) defeated Adams 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.

The Bulldogs have one match over spring break next week, hosting Wallace State-Hanceville on Monday at 1 p.m.
