Steede grabs MACCC award
PERKINSTON — The numbers are enough to make you pull a double-take, but Skyler Steede's performance last week was that fantastic and won her MACCC Keeper of the Week.
Steede, a sophomore from Lucedale, made an astounding 22 saves in a 1-0-1 week that clinched second place in the MACCC South for the Bulldogs.
She stopped all 10 shots in a 3-0 shutout at Southwest Mississippi, and then had 12 saves, including a series of point-blank stops, in a 1-1 tie against Pearl River.
It was her first conference award of the season and makes her eligible for NJCAA Keeper of the Week.
