Palisi, Brown named All-Region 23

PERKINSTON — A pair of Mississippi Gulf Coast freshmen have been named to the exclusive All-NJCAA Region 23 Women's Soccer team.

Forward Alyssa Palisi and midfielder Katie Brown were selected by the region's coaches in voting conducted after the season. They helped the Bulldogs finish second in the MACCC South and advance to the conference semifinals. They finished with an 8-5-2 record

Palisi, who is from Diamondhead, finished fourth in the MACCC with 11 goals. She added five assists.

Brown finished second in the conference with nine assists. Her eight goals were fifth-best in the MACCC.

Gulf Coast tied for second with Jones with two players on the 12-person squad.
