No. 20 Bulldogs celebrate Sophomore Night on Tuesday

PERKINSTON — Fresh back into the national rankings, No. 20 Mississippi Gulf Coast will celebrate Sophomore Night with a class that has helped elevate the Bulldogs back onto the national women's soccer picture Tuesday.

Gulf Coast faces Hinds in MACCC action at Bary Thrash Field. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

The sophomores have helped breathe new life into the program. The eight-player class includes Dana Brooks (So., Alajuela Costa Rica/Colegio Jesus Ocaña Rojas), Kadie Craft (So., Picayune/Picayune), Azlyn Dawson (So., Taylorsville/West Jones), Laylah Johnson (Fr., Gulfport/Gulfport), Isabella Reynolds (So., Pascagoula/Pascagoula), Neave Ross (So., Whitley Bay/Whitley Bay, England), Kyla Smith (So., Hurley/East Central), and Elissa Viquez (So., St. Rose La./Destrehan).

Sophomore Night ceremonies will take place after the women's game.

Last Time Out

• MGCCC beat then-No. 11 Pearl River 3-1 at Perk on Friday. The Bulldogs got a pair of goals from Elissa Viquez.
• Hinds lost 5-1 to Southwest Mississippi on Friday in Raymond.
