
Viquez, Campbell named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — Elisa Viquez and Stanley Campbell have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Oct. 7-13.
Viquez, a sophomore from St. Rose, La., scored twice against Gulf Coast's archrival during a 2-0 week for Gulf Coast. She scored the first two goals against No. 11 Pearl River on the way to a 3-1 win.
Campbell, a freshman from London, England, shot 3-under to win the Jim Redgate Invitational and lead No. 1 Gulf Coast to its first win of the year. He shot a 69 in the second round to take home medalist honors.

Laurel Conley, a freshman from Ocean Springs, picked up a pair of wins for Gulf Coast. She stopped one shot in a 2-1 win at Meridian, then had eight saves to beat No. 11 Pearl River 3-1.
JP Coulter, a sophomore wide receiver from Ocean Springs, caught six passes for 92 yards against East Central. He caught a 27-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring.
David Ruiz Ospina, a sophomore from Manizales, Colombia, had 10 saves while going 1-0-1 for No. 7 Gulf Coast. He made four saves in a 2-1 win at Meridian, then had six in a 2-2 tie against No. 6 Pearl River.
Myles Saulsberry, a sophomore from Memphis, Tenn., had seven tackles from his defensive tackle position against East Central. He had two sacks for the Bulldogs.
Jasintho Wielders, a freshman midfielder from, Krimpen aan den Ijssel, Netherlands, had a pair of goals during a 1-0-1 week for No. 7 Gulf Coast. He scored twice in the showdown against No. 6 Pearl River, which finished in a 2-2 draw.
