
Brinkley, Jobe named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — Katelyn Brinkley and Nygel Jobe have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Nov. 18-24.
Brinkley, a freshman guard/forward from Ridgeland, had 18 points and three rebounds in a 67-53 loss to Pensacola State. She shot 60 percent from the field and picked up three rebounds.
Jobe, a sophomore midfielder from Brandon, was named to the All-Tournament Team for his play during Gulf Coast's appearance at the NJCAA Championship. The Bulldogs lost a pair of one-goal games, including forcing No. 1-seed Pima to overtime after falling behind 2-0.

Kaue Kalinowski, a sophomore from Curitiba, Brazil, averaged 17 points in a 1-1 week for Gulf Coast. He had 18 points in a 65-53 loss to Pearl River, then had 17 points while playing on 12 minutes in a 123-75 win over Baton Rouge Post-Grad. He shot 44.4 percent from the 3-point line.
