Women’s Soccer falls at No. 4 Holmes

Mississippi Gulf Coast lost 4-0 to No. 4 Holmes in Ridgeland on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs gave up a pair of goals in a minute late in the first half to dig a halftime hole. Holmes got another goal in the first minute of the second half, and the fourth came late.

Laurel Conley (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) had eight saves for the Bulldogs.

Gulf Coast (8-3-1, 5-3-1 MACCC) plays the second of three straight road games to close out the regular season Friday with a trip to Scooba. Kickoff against East Mississippi is set for 5 p.m. The Bulldogs fell to sixth place in the MACCC standings, but they can clinch a second-straight postseason berth with a win.

The Bulldogs play at Jones next Tuesday in the last game before the playoffs.

Holmes improved to 12-3-1, 7-1-1.
