Barlow named Bulldog of the Week

PERKINSTON — Hydee Barlow has been named Bulldogs of the Week for Sept. 6-12.

Barlow, a sophomore defensive tackle from Forest, had a dominant game for No. 6 Gulf Coast in an 18-16 win at Northeast. He had 14 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss and half a sack. Barlow also teamed with linebacker C.J. Williams for a first-quarter safety. Barlow was a big reason Northeast ran 12 plays inside the MGCCC 10-yard line without scoring a touchdown.

Also nominated:

Dylan Wasson, a freshman from Madison, kicked a 25-yard field goal with 58 seconds left to give No. 6 Gulf Coast an 18-16 win at Northeast. He was perfect on three field goal attempts, including a 40-yarder, and made his only PAT attempt.

Adam Holland, a sophomore from Moss Point, had the opening goal to spark a 2-0 win at Meridian in the MACCC South opener.

Cam Thomas, a sophomore running back from Picayune, ran 19 times for 94 yards against Northeast.
