Flenor, Catchings named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — Lee Flenor and TK Catchings have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Jan. 10-16.
Flenor, a sophomore forward from Miami, Fla., had a pair of double-doubles for Gulf Coast, including a monster 17-point, 24-rebound night against Northeast Mississippi. He also had 10 points and 13 rebounds against Pearl River, and he shot nearly 62 percent from the field for the week.
TK Catchings, a sophomore forward from New Hebron, came off the Gulf Coast bench and filled up her stat line in limited minutes during a 2-0 week. She had 10 points and 8 rebounds in 10 minutes during a 69-41 win over Northeast Mississippi. She narrowly missed a double-double in an 80-74 overtime comeback win at Pearl River. In 18 minutes, she had 15 points and 9 rebounds. She had three steals in both games to help push the Gulf Coast win streak to four.
