No. 20 Lady Bulldogs blank Co-Lin

PERKINSTON — No. 20 Mississippi Gulf Coast claimed its third 9-0 victory in as many days, beating Copiah-Lincoln on Saturday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

 

The Lady Bulldogs improve to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in MACJC matches. They return to action Monday, traveling to Holmes. Matches at Goodman start at 1 p.m.

 

It's the start of a long stretch of road games, with the next matches at Perk on March 27 against Wallace State-Hanceville.

 

The Lady Bulldogs doubles teams dropped only two games in the three matchups. Katie Burrall (So, Hernando/Hernando) and Jasmine Sartin (So, Biloxi/Biloxi) swept their Nos. 3 and 4 singles matches without losing a game.

 

Jenna Lyons (Fr, Pascagoula/Pascagoula) fought back from a first-set loss to win at No. 5 singles, and Paulina Estrada (So, San Luis, Mexico/Colegio Del Bosque) won a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1
