No. 21 MGCCC avenges loss, wins 11th straight
PERKINSTON — No. 21 Mississippi Gulf Coast rolled to its 11th straight victory Saturday, beating No. 20 Meridian 6-3 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 14-3 overall and 11-1 in MACJC play. They avenged their only loss in the state by beating the Lady Eagles.
Gulf Coast swept doubles to pave the way, and Paulina Estrada (So, San Luis, Mexico/Colegio Del Bosque), Bianca Buie (Fr, Baia Mare, Romania/Gheorghe Sincai National High School) and Katie Burrall (So, Hernando/Hernando) won Nos. 1-3 singles.
The Lady Bulldogs play another nationally ranked team Monday when they travel to No. 23 Jones County. Matches in Ellisville start at 2 p.m.
