
Daniels, Shepherd named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week
PERKINSTON — Running back T'Rod Daniels and midfielder Jess Shepherd have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Oct. 24-30.
Daniels, a sophomore running back from Bassfield, ran 20 times for 173 yards (8.7 average), including a 71-yard touchdown in a 30-17 victory over Pearl River. He also caught two passes for 27 yards for an even 200 total yards. It was Daniel's second straight 100-yard game and fourth of the season.
Shepherd, a freshman from Manchester, England, had three assists in Gulf Coast's 4-0 win at Meridian. She leads MGCCC with 12 goals and eight assists.

Colby Blake, a freshman golfer from Tylertown, finished fourth in the MGCCC Fall Invitational held at Grand Bear. Among MACJC competitors, his 2-over 146 was second best.
Isaiah Buggs, a sophomore defensive lineman from Ruston, La., had 7 tackles, 1 assist, 3 tackles for loss and a sack in a 30-17 victory over Pearl River. Buggs leads the Bulldogs with 56 total tackles.
Joshua Rowland, a sophomore kicker from Madison Central, made all three field goal attempts and all three extra points in a 30-17 victory over Pearl River.
Jordan Hall, a freshman from Manchester, England, had three goals and two assists in a 6-4 win at Meridian to close out a perfect MACJC South campaign. He has six hat tricks this season, all against MACJC competition.
