Simmons, Moorer named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week
PERKINSTON — Kayla Simmons and DaJuan Moorer have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
Simmons, a freshman forward from Brandon, poured in 17 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and had 3 steals in Mississippi Gulf Coast's 51-50 overtime loss at Delgado.
Moorer, a sophomore forward from Pensacola, exploded for 29 points and 13 rebounds in Mississippi Gulf Coast's 90-71 win at Delgado. For the week, which saw the Bulldogs go 2-0, he averaged 18.6 points and 11.5 rebounds.
