Bulldogs make final 2022 road trip Saturday

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast plays its last road men's basketball game of the fall semester Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Utica.

They'll take on Hinds at 2 p.m., and the game will be streamed at https://hindsccsports.net/channel-1/.

Gulf Coast has won three straight.

Last Time Out

• MGCCC won 87-82 on Monday against East Central at Dantzler Arena in Perkinston. Donovan Sanders (So., Walls/Lake Cormorant) led the Bulldogs with 17 points and six assists.  
• Hinds lost 83-79 on Thursday at Meridian.

Previous Meeting

On Jan. 24, Gulf Coast edged Hinds 97-76 in overtime. Dontavious Proby hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to win it.

Notes

• Javeon Gordon (Fr., Mount Olive/Mount Olive) ranks sixth in the MACCC in 3-pointers made (19) and fifth in 3-point shooting (51.4 percent). His assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.2 is third.
• Sanders ranks second in the league at 6.4 assists per game.
• Demarcus Powe (Fr., Meridian/Meridian) is fourth in 3-pointers (20) and ninth in 3-point percentage (42.6 percent).
• Gulf Coast leads the MACCC in 3-point percentage (37.2). They are third in field-goal defense (40.2 percent).
