Bulldogs travel to play MACCC leaders

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast continues its efforts to climb into the men's basketball postseason picture Wednesday with a long road trip to take on MACCC leaders Itawamba.

Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. The game will be streamed at https://letsgoicctv.com/red/.

The Bulldogs are tied for 12^th in the conference. The top 12 teams in NJCAA Region 23, which includes four Louisiana schools, make it to the tournament. ICC is ranked 17^th in the latest NJCAA Division I rankings and tied for the MACCC lead with East Mississippi.

Last Time Out

• MGCCC pulled away late from Hinds on Monday, winning 90-67 at Dantzler Arena. Darius Dawson (So., Sumter S.C./West Florence) and Idell Walton (Fr., Tampa Fla./SLAM Tampa) had double-doubles for the Bulldogs.
• Itawamba suffered its first conference loss of the season Monday, falling 86-76 in overtime at Meridian.

Previous Meeting

On Jan 27, 2022, Gulf Coast beat Itawamba 61-56 at the Weathers-Wentzell Center. Melvion Flanagan scored 19 points for the Bulldogs.
