No. 14 Bulldogs lose 6-3 at home

PERKINSTON — No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast lost 6-3 to No. 15 Jones on Tuesday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex, dropping their first match of the season.

Owen Stice (Fr., Atlanta, Ga./Laurel Springs), Kyle Bond (So., Wiggins/Stone) and Orren Ladner (So., Perkinston/Stone) won their singles matches. Ladner pulled his out in three sets.

Paul Gayk (So., Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany/Berufskolleg Lehnerstrasse) and Owen Stice (Fr., Atlanta, Ga./Laurel Springs) lost 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, as did Kyle Bond and Triston Hill (Fr., Perkinston/Stone) at No. 3.

Gulf Coast travels to Bay Minette to play Coastal Alabama-South on Thursday. First serves are set for 2 p.m.
