No. 15 Bulldogs lose at No. 9 Wallace State

No. 15 Gulf Coast has played four straight top-10 teams on the road over the last week, and the Bulldogs ended the stretch with a 7-2 loss at No. 9 Wallace State in Hanceville, Ala.

Paul Gayk (So., Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany/Berufskolleg Lehnerstrasse) and Owen Stice (Fr., Atlanta, Ga./Laurel Springs) won their No. 1 doubles match 8-4. Gayk was victorious at No. 1 singles, as well, winning 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.

Gulf Coast had played three matches in three days earlier in the week against top-5 teams in Texas. The Bulldogs are now 8-5 overall.

They're 6-1 in the MACCC, and they'll be back in action there against Southwest Mississippi after spring break. The teams will meet back home on March 28. First serves are set for 2 p.m.
