Beaugez named MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Aleah Beaugez helped Mississippi Gulf Coast split a doubleheader against archrival Pearl River last week, and her efforts were rewarded with MACCC Player of the Week honors Tuesday.
The Bulldogs won the nightcap against No. 5 PRCC 14-11, and the freshman shortstop from D'Iberville, had a home run, two doubles and four RBI to lead the attack.
For the doubleheader, she batted .571 with a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.286 slugging percentage.
Beaugez is the first Bulldog softball player to win a weekly award this season. She's now eligible for NJCAA honors, which will be announced tomorrow.
