Catchings wins Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — TK Catchings came off the bench twice last week, and what she did made the MACCC take notice.
She was named conference Player of the Week for a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The sophomore forward from New Hebron had 26 points and 15 rebounds in an 83-60 win over Lawson State and scored 19 points with another 15 boards in a 76-50 over Lawson State.
Catchings is the first Bulldog to earn a weekly award from the MACCC this season. She's eligible for national honors, which will be announced Wednesday.
