Women head to Southwest on Thursday
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will face a determined Southwest Mississippi team trying to improve its place in the MACCC women's basketball standings Thursday night in Summit.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. The game will be streamed at https://go.smccbears.tv/.
Gulf Coast is in fourth place, the final spot that gets a bye in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament later this month. The Bears are in seventh, and the Bulldogs can ensure they finish ahead of SMCC with a win.

- MGCCC ran away from Northwest Mississippi late, winning 66-50 at Dantzler Arena on Monday. Simaru Fields scored a career-high 32 points.
