Lady Bulldogs crush Belhaven
Defending MACJC champion Mississippi Gulf Coast launched it spring schedule with an 8-1 win over Belhaven University on Friday at the Bridges Tennis Center in Jackson.
Megan Bankston (Fr, Gulfport/Gulfport), Jenna Lyons (So, Pascagoula/Pascagoula), Jillianne Craft (So, Gulfport/St. Patrick) and Tierney Holmes (Fr, Greenwood/Greenwood) won two matches each for the Lady Bulldogs.
Gulf Coast dropped only one set in six singles matches, winning nine sets losing one game or less.
The Lady Bulldogs' match scheduled for Saturday at Holmes has been postponed to Feb. 2.
