No. 16 Lady Bulldogs keep marching

No. 16 Mississippi Gulf Coast defeated Hinds 7-2 in a women's tennis match Thursday on the road in Raymond.

 

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-2, 8-1 MACJC.

 

Megan Bankston (Fr, Gulfport/Gulfport), Tierney Holmes (Fr, Greenwood/Greenwood), Jillianne Craft (So, Gulfport/St. Patrick) and Jenna Lyons (So, Pascagoula/Pascagoula) won their singles and doubles matches to claim six of the points for Gulf Coast.

 

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday with a big showdown at No. 10 Meridian. The first serves are set for noon.

 

MGCCC's final home match will be Wednesday when Copiah-Lincoln visits the MGCCC Tennis Complex. Fans are encouraged to bring two canned goods for a food drive to benefit Our Daily Bread, a Stone County food pantry that assists families in need.
