No. 16 MGCCC blanks Sun Chiefs

No. 16 Mississippi Gulf Coast blitzed Coastal Alabama-South in the Lady Bulldogs final match of the regular season, winning 9-0 Thursday at Bay Minette.

Jillianne Craft (So, Gulfport/St. Patrick) and Jenna Lyons (So, Pascagoula/Pascagoula) didn't drop a game in their singles and doubles matches.

The teams played eight-game pro sets in all matches, with the Sun Chiefs starting their conference tournament Friday.

The Lady Bulldogs play in the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament in Meridian next week. The three-day event starts April 19.
