No. 11 Women beat Hinds 8-1

No. 11 Mississippi Gulf Coast defeated shorthanded Hinds on Tuesday, winning 8-1 in Raymond.

Hinds had just five players, so the Bulldogs started the match up 2-0 with defaults on No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Hayden Hensarling (So., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) and Kendall Burn (Fr., Wiggins/Stone) crushed their opponents at No. 2 doubles and Nos. 4 and 5 singles, respectively. They didn't drop a set.

Gulf Coast (7-1, 5-1 MACCC) will be back at the MGCCC Tennis Complex on Thursday for more conference action. First serves against Holmes are scheduled for 2 p.m.
