Basketball Bulldogs sign 5 players
PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast men's basketball coach Wendell Weathers has signed five players to letters of intent to play for the Bulldogs beginning in 2016-17.
"I think this is the best we've had in a couple years," Weathers said. "We still have some things to do. I feel good about the people we've signed. I think they're high-quality players with big upside."
Gulf Coast was nationally ranked during much of the 2015-16 season, qualifying for the MACJC and NJCAA Region 23 tournaments and finishing 19-7.
Weathers said more players will be added to the signing class.
