Martin, Longsden named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week

PERKINSTON — Wide receiver Brandon Martin and forward Erin Longsden have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Oct. 24-30.

Martin, a freshman from New Orleans, caught six passes for 98 yards and a touchdown against Jones County.

Longsden, a freshman from Manchester, England, had four goals in the Lady Bulldogs's 6-0 MACJC semifinal victory over Itawamba.

Others nominated:

Jordan Hall, a freshman forward from Manchester, England, had two goals and one assists in an MACJC semifinal win over Southwest.

Jaylin Dailey, a sophomore defensive lineman from Montgomery, Ala., had five tackles, one assist and two sacks at Jones County.

Windham Whatley, a sophomore holding midfielder from Florence, scored his first goal of the season to jump-start the Bulldogs offense against Southwest.
