Tobias, Parker named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week
PERKINSTON — Shaniqua Tobias and Zach Parker have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
Tobias, a sophomore from New Orleans, had 10 points, five assists and four rebounds in the Lady Bulldogs' only game of the week, a 51-44 win over Baton Rouge.
Parker, a sophomore guard from Biloxi, had 24 points in the Gulf Coast's only game of the week, a 102-77 win over the William Carey JV. He shot 5-of-8 from beyond the 3-point arc and also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out five assists and had two steals. He is shooting 58.6 percent from the floor and 56.3 percent from 3.
