White named MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Daphane White has won the first MACJC Player of the Week award for her performance in the Bulldogs' first two games.
White, a sophomore center from St. Martin, averaged a double-double with 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in those games. She narrowly missed a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds in a 64-55 win at Baton Rouge and got one in a 66-52 win over Coastal Alabama-South (14 points, 14 rebounds).
White is now eligible for NJCAA Player of the Week honors.
